On the road to inspiring solutions!

September 27, 2023

As you probably read in the last days, of the 9 planetary limits identified by the international scientific community, the one concerning damage to the freshwater cycle has just been crossed. The limit on ocean acidification is about to be broken.

So at TEDxCannes, we've chosen to focus on innovative climate solutions. That's why our attention and support will be particularly valuable to them on November 24!

Above all, the researchers and entrepreneurs will explain the ideas behind these innovations, and how they came to become pioneers in their respective fields.

Thierry Carlin

Drinking water creator

Thierry Carlin is a business leader and engineer specializing in mechanics, materials resistance and underwater robotics. In 2022, he founded Hélio Water, a company focused on developing a process using renewable energies to provide affordable drinking water. The general public discovered him when he appeared on the TV show "Qui veut être mon associé?", in which he won the full support of the  business angels panel by raising the largest amount of money in the show's 2023 season.

Anne-Sophie Roux

Oceans rights activist

Anne Sophie Roux is an entrepreneur and ocean activist with a background in social and political sciences. Having been involved in the restoration of marine habitats such as coral reefs and mangroves, she witnessed the far-reaching impacts for local communities. She founded Tēnaka with the ambition of scaling up these blue solutions to the climate crisis, through impact measurement tools and technologies. Anne-Sophie Roux was named Young Ocean Leader by the American NGO Sustainable Ocean Alliance, and became their representative for France.

Jean-Baptiste Landes

Water resource sharing specialist

Water has always held a special place in the life of Jean-Baptiste Landes. From his fishing trips with his grandfather to his work in hydroelectricity. It was here that he discovered the importance of collective, balanced management of this resource in the face of climate change, and decided to devote his talents as an innovator to the cause. After developing a river management assistance service in 2014, he now aims to improve water management in cities and buildings with the Cactile company.

Ticketing is now open. We're giving the first 50 registrants priority access on D-Day. Don't delay if you're interested! We'll be announcing the other Speakers as the weeks go by, via this newsletter.

I reserve tickets for November 24.
