How are TEDxCannes speakers selected?

A question I get asked from time to time: how do you go about curating an event like TEDxCannes?

To initiate this process, we use a general theme chosen collectively by our team.It's imbued with the meaning we want to instill in the event, and we then feed it with a thoughtful selection of the topics we want to tackle.

This year, we've opted for the theme of "Resonance", in particular with nature. This word is pronounced and spelled the same in French and English. Generally speaking, it's important for what we do to be accessible worldwide.

Secondly, we are part of the COUNTDOWN theme specific to TED. It aims to identify and promote innovative solutions to the challenges of climate change.

The detailed composition of the program is strongly influenced by these climate solutions. The findings are widely shared, so we won't come back to them.

On the other hand, there are people who are inventing innovative solutions that we'd like to highlight. This year, the "ideas worth spreading" at the heart of the TED and TEDx concept are deliberately geared towards action, while also aiming to inspire us!
